Venture to Nature

As she ventured towards nature ~

she sauntered towards the prying fires

whose mystique flames raptured her abound

she whispered songs of lore in the air

even amidst the dissonance of sound

she immersed herself in the clear blue waters

floating in the streams, without being downed

she looked up at the celestial ether

where the natural paradise held her spellbound

she felt beneath her feet, the bountiful earth

that spread its subtle fragrance all around!!

After traipsing amongst the elements of nature;

she realized that the pain she felt within

would consume her, only, if she sanctioned it

she learnt that instead of letting her loneliness

fluster her, she should seek solace in it

she, also, understood that sunrise and sunset

where a part of everybody's life

and every passing moment was a new moment

that held open endless possibilities

to know the unknowns and tread the unexplored paths!!

In essence ~

What she needed was only a venture to nature

to resurrect her broken will and shaken confidence

and, set free her mind, heart and soul

to live life anew with renewed spirit and zest 

without being affected by the past and the rest!!

Anyway

Life offers it's own twists which do not make sense at that point in time;

Keep moving, anyway.

When people around mar you more than they make you;

Ignore them, anyway.

What's taken you years to build, gets destroyed overnight;

Build again, anyway.

When you are questioned for your well meant intentions;

Do not answer, anyway.

When your dreams turn to dust;

Vacuum them, anyway.

When you seek answers deep down yet they seem evasive;

Give time, time, anyway.

As a sole wanderer with an unprejudiced mind

take on the journey of your life

looking out for the signs of the universe

that will guide you on what barriers to navigate,

what bends to take and what roads to rise,

to conquer the untouched apex and summits

with its new horizons, sunsets and sunrise..!!

Sunset of her Life

As she walked towards the sunset of her life

her life reeled before her from the time

she had her senses in place, to comprehend

the finer nuances of life n' its mysteries

that regaled her initially n' then amused her

with it's reality that seemed less whimsical

n' more daunting as moments n' years passed by!

Her life that once seemed bright n' colorful

with the radiance of joy n' energy, exuberated

by the innocence of having been a child

followed by the enthusiasm of the youth

but as mid-life seeped in, it usurped em all

with the verve diminishing as the absurdity

of the real life finally seeped within her!

She realised the farceness of the world

she lived in n' the people who surrounded her

her mind, spirit n' soul after years of conflict

had now become ONE after sifting from life

the unreal, surreal, ethereal n' real;

with grace in her heart, she accepted em all, and

elegantly walked towards the sunset of her life!

Little Joys

Little joys like ~

listening to soothing music

enjoying the whiff of fresh air

watching the dew-drops on leaves

walking on grass or on sand

towards the subtle sunrise or sunset

feeling one within, in blissful solitude

looking at where the horizons meet

gazing at the beauty of the azure sky

or the colors of the meadows

and the smell of earth

during the first showers

it's this midas touch that symbolizes

harmony n' peace in the midst

of the mystical wonders of nature

that give us our ecstatic pleasure..!!

Why trade these rapturous

enchanting thrilling joys

to the dark shadows of

a demanding n' pretentious

world that sucks you within

in its vortex leaving you depraved..??

Get soaked in these joys n' soar high

spreading your wings to unknown heights

setting yourself as free as you can be

enjoying every moment, the beauty of life

and life's little things..!!

Forever Oneness with Nature

When the concrete jungle, rife with rules of its own,

makes me feel claustrophobic, fraying my nerves within,

where I fight for sustenance amongst the seas of people,

to earn my daily bread for my family n' seek a living;

I take the vagabond escape route to being amidst Nature...

to lose myself in its scenic beauty n' FREE the real ME,

even, if it is momentary, to touch, feel, live n' sensitize,

to infuse within me all that Nature has to offer from its womb;

be it the meadows that paint the vibrant colors from its canvas,

in my otherwise stark life colored only in black n' white;

or the wilderness that sing songs in rhythms of their own,

a melody, so pleasing that sets you grooving to its every beat;

the sunrise that breaks away from twilight to give me hope,

when I feel lost as I surmise the conflicts I face in my life;

the landscapes, seascapes n' mountainous intricate designs,

that leave me spell bound with its native forms n' splendours;

the rivers that flow endlessly remaining new all the while,

teaching me to remain unaffected by the disruptions in life;

the solace in the secluded spot over a rock with subtle winds,

that drives away all my agitation n' plunges me in reverie;

the sunset by the sea that usher-in respite, calming me down,

healing me from within n' resurging me with strength n' wisdom;

to collect myself n' my thoughts to get back the handle of my life,

treasuring every memory to continue my journey when I return back

to the man-made soulless surreal world that bewilders me each time

with the the circle of being enthralled in the charisma of Nature

coming to an undesirable end with the end of the brief sojourn

that brings me a step closer to Nature each time, I seek solace

in its resplendent world emblazoned with inexplicable bliss n' peace

a sacred communion with the eternal power that cannot be expressed

but only be felt from deep within the soul as Nature's powerful mysticism

creating firmly a sense of oneness between ME n' Mother Nature forever…

Worlds Apart...

Enroute this journey of life...

through the concrete jungle, lands,

mountains, rivers n' terrains,

through the sunrise, sunset n' twilights,

in situations favourable n' unfavourable,

trying to meet the daily needs, while

fighting against the odds for survival,

handling the egos n' the attitudes,

sifting the real from the surreal,

all this while still being connected

to the earthy elements n' values inherent

is the world to which I belong today!

Yet, I dream of belonging to a blissful world ~

that is liberated from the chaos n' ordeals,

enriched in the reverie of the misty ethereals,

with an essence of humanity n' bonding,

enshrined in love, mesmerized in peace,

drifting from breeze to breeze to breeze,

sitting quietly on the rocks by the calm seas,

under the full moon n' the star lit dark sky,

with soft music of nature whispering in my ears

offering me the much needed respite n' solace.

Oh! how I wish such a world did exist ~

for this is just the place where I want to belong,

but, I know it's all a wishful dream, and

that they are two WORLDS apart...

Stay Afloat! Stay Ashore!

when the ripples come alive with each stroke n' wonder

how in the yonder, the sea n' sky embrace each other

when the soft hues of sunset, replenished by night

uphold the pristine waxing n' waning moonlight

when the only source of light away, shimmers

illuminating everything as it saunters

Stay afloat! Stay ashore!

 

when shadowless waters, brim with froth

adrift as a soul in peril n' appear lost

when dark cloudy storms bellow, with no escape

stumbling through waves in a shrouded haze

when rustling breeze bounce over the streams

n'then disappear like a silent dream

Stay afloat! Stay ashore!

if you don't brave the storm, don't tackle it by horn

you won't survive the tide, you will be gone

so ride the waves, take the plunge

for life's a flow n' its true

hang in there, be it high or low,

for this is what you got to do
