we live in a world

that chains us

with fears, and

traps us in a race

we think we have not

made the choice, and

that it is preordained

a fate we are born with

but this is untrue

because it is

we who have

made that choice

to be infringed upon

to be tossed, turned

hassled and wired

yielding to the perils

of endless expectations

doing things which we

really do not understand

achieving a myriad

of unwanted goals

at the expense

of burning our souls

in a twilight revelation

of the glorious light

I decided freedom

it shall be for

the rest of my life

I choose the unbidden

I choose serendipity

I choose FREE WILL

I choose to be ME!

Observer and I

she sits alone watching a world of her own appearing lost but she is not she wants to understand and know much more which when her 'she' is 'I' she cannot know the order, the light amidst the chaos and fright the unsolicited incite that deflect her might the illusory contours that keep her ashore the obscure metaphors that chain her to her yore the twisted crossroads that debilitate her will the monochromes, the shadows that hold her still it's then when she faces so many ‘why’s’ that she let's the Observer become the I

I wanna get lost...

I wanna get lost from my life 

for sometime...

just sit on the side, and 

watch the world go by...

I need some breathing space

it's been too hard on me, off late

I wanna collect myself, and

relook at my fate

it can't go on like this

I have to set things straight..!!

I wanna see life from an observer's eye

for so many questions in my life 

have been unanswered, and

I don't understand why..?!

the mystics of the realm 

that I live-in

leave me spell bound 

and shocked akin

it has been quite sometime

since my head's been on a spin

I want them all to stop now

for I am feeling weighed-in..!!

I don't see how else can I

regain the control on my steer

if I don't understand

what led me here...

the only way out 

is for me to get lost

so, I wanna get lost,

UnBelonged

dislocated within
she did not know, whether
she was fighting it all
or giving in
to the warped time
that had shrouded her
powerless, emotionless
she did not know, whether
it should have mattered at all
or have been overlooked upon
as all that had happened
had wrecked her heart
and numbed her mind
the endless tirade
had rummaged her bind
she could no longer relate
with the world around
she felt misplaced here
she felt UnBelonged..!!

Dreamer's dream

What motivates you to dream asked she

I told her it was my dream that motivated me..!!

I'm a dreamer who believes in my dreams

for it sets precedence to the futuristic me

a new world, a paradise is where I want to live-in

without racism n' politics creating furore within

where the daunting realities rife today are ablazen

and fears are nothing but evaporating illusions

where justice is instant with values strongly laden

and heroic deeds are respected without being forgotten

where love reigns hearts  n' paves way for freedom

and dreamers are motivated to dream n’ see them blossom!!

Horizon

When I feel tired at the end 
of a ravenous day's embrace
I look upon the silky horizon
where the earth, sea n' sky unite
O! What a mesmerizing beauty it is
it holds me spell bound in reverie
it replenishes every living breath in me
by welcoming me in a world of its own
edging me to believe in the power of unknowns
and the realm of infinities, for in reality
there is no horizon, yet there exists a boundary 
that distinguishes the visible from the invisible
separating them all yet uniting them in splendor
creating an exotic enticing soulful world around!!

Delusion

Translucent light flooded my being
acquitting me from a life of servitude 
in a world enveloped by the dark 
freedom from woes that stung
through the days n' the nights
in seemingly endless barbaric acts 
deriding my soul of its very existence!

In a sudden sweep transformation 
my world changed 360 degrees, and
I was set FREE from all bonds of slavery
to be the ME that I so much wanted to be
I, now, no longer had to worry
of emptiness, fear or insecurity, and
all that my destiny held for me!

I thought the insanity was all over
and I did not have to look back ever
till I found my eyes slowly open 
to beads of sweat streaming down my face
my hands clammy from the realization
that all that I saw was a delusional dream
a warm respite from an absurd phase of life!

We make a difference..!!

Each one of us is here for a purpose

and we need to play our part to the fullest!

What if every drop of water

in the ocean would say,

"I'm just a single drop n' not the ocean"

Would there be an ocean then..??

What if every grain

on the land would say,

"I'm just a single grain n' not the land"

Would there be any land then..??

What if every seed

of a plant would say,

"I'm just a single seed n' not the crop"

Would there be any crop then..??

What if every single note

in music would say

"I'm just a single note n' not the melody"

Would there be any melody then..??

Likewise… it is only when we all do

what we got to do that WE make a difference

to our realm n' complete this WORLD of ours

embalming Mother Nature in all its elements!!

Don't give in...

In this world, you'll find ~
love, hate, bliss, peace, chaos, serenity
don't give in when you find yourself alone
for there's an angel out there watching you
don't give in when you've tried, and
it hasn't worked for you; just be patient
don't give in when you feel emotionless
all your emotions are subdued inside you
don't give in when you're at crossroads
every path has a lot in it's fold to show
don't give in to the stormy nights
instead adjust your sails n' continue
don't give in when you keep stumbling
rise again more determined n' stronger
don't give in to the trying times
rather surge ahead armed with HOPE
don't given in to the dark nights 
for they in actual parlance are tests for us
to see whether we can light the path ahead 
from the inner light of the soul within us..!!

Sunset of her Life

As she walked towards the sunset of her life

her life reeled before her from the time

she had her senses in place, to comprehend

the finer nuances of life n' its mysteries

that regaled her initially n' then amused her

with it's reality that seemed less whimsical

n' more daunting as moments n' years passed by!

Her life that once seemed bright n' colorful

with the radiance of joy n' energy, exuberated

by the innocence of having been a child

followed by the enthusiasm of the youth

but as mid-life seeped in, it usurped em all

with the verve diminishing as the absurdity

of the real life finally seeped within her!

She realised the farceness of the world

she lived in n' the people who surrounded her

her mind, spirit n' soul after years of conflict

had now become ONE after sifting from life

the unreal, surreal, ethereal n' real;

with grace in her heart, she accepted em all, and

elegantly walked towards the sunset of her life!

Little Joys

Little joys like ~

listening to soothing music

enjoying the whiff of fresh air

watching the dew-drops on leaves

walking on grass or on sand

towards the subtle sunrise or sunset

feeling one within, in blissful solitude

looking at where the horizons meet

gazing at the beauty of the azure sky

or the colors of the meadows

and the smell of earth

during the first showers

it's this midas touch that symbolizes

harmony n' peace in the midst

of the mystical wonders of nature

that give us our ecstatic pleasure..!!

Why trade these rapturous

enchanting thrilling joys

to the dark shadows of

a demanding n' pretentious

world that sucks you within

in its vortex leaving you depraved..??

Get soaked in these joys n' soar high

spreading your wings to unknown heights

setting yourself as free as you can be

enjoying every moment, the beauty of life

and life's little things..!!

Twistedness

Euphoric grandeur

ecstatic feelings

fuddled enamoured mind

with muddled reasoning

transcendental state of being

spell bound in jubilance

captivated in a world ablaze

with vivid resplendent delights

it's nothing but a world

of sheer twistedness..!!

Interlude

Wake up to the reality

that you had shunned

while you sojourned

in this dreamy extrinsic

world of alluring mirth

thoughts come n' thoughts go

making you wonder, what to do,

know that these surreal feelings

hold no resolute abiding grounds

with their frugal pretence..!!

Break FREE from this spell

of pseudo illusions n' twistedness

before they deport you

on an highway to hell

boldly leading you NOWHERE

ravaging your life, forever…

FREEDOM is just a thought away

embrace it in its full splendour

rebound back to your realm, your world

ONE that you know is your very own..!!

anarchic is the world ~

in which we live-in today

where money has become the master

n' we've become its bonded slaves

where hurts of our past

have made their homes in our heart

where fears of uncertain tepid future

has left, us frenzied gropin' in the dark!

though the journey seems intriguin'

do not succumb to the testin' times

in the end, all will be right

just keep looking for the light

it's the rule of the universe

that after every dusk comes the dawn

the darkest hours in our lives

can only last until the morn'!

when you feel, you're done n' dusted with life

hold onto HOPE to guide you thru' such strife

when the paths seems steep n' hard to climb

HOPE is the balm that will soothe your mind

when trials seem unrelentin' n' shatter your soul

HOPE is the sparkle that will make you feel whole

when tears stream silently down your eyes

in such faces of travesty is where HOPE abides!

Back to being ME...

The journey had been long ~

n' I was feeling lost n' forlorn,

thinking I might not be able to keep afloat,

I tided over to the other side of the shore;

what I saw in that side of the world unnerved me,

such extreme was the vanity n' incongruity,

havin' realized this in it's nascent stage,

I decided to halt no more n' turned around,

before they could destroy me like never before.

Having reached my end ~

it felt like homecoming, for this world is mine,

it belongs to me n' I know the rules of the game here,

not that the perils do not exist but I'm now brave,

I have the will in me to tide over any high or low wave,

in retrospect when I think, it was all about my shaken will

that I'd lost in the midst of sheer chaos n' adversity,

never again will I let my will in me waver,

n' I am NOW firmly back here again forever..!!

A Special One...

June' 09 -

A month back from today ...

I found a special SOMEONE

or maybe he found me

or was it fate ordained, chance or destiny?

pre-destination that may be called in any name

it feels like an act destined

at time's beginning

an unseen to be seen

when it was meant to be

It’s something I'll never know

it doesn’t matter now -

for the bond has been

nurtured to be very strong

So much of him I like & adore

his gentle expression 

sealed with warmth

his witty humor n' impressive intellect

cast in a honest face

and an ever-ready smile 

flashed through concerned eyes

Our relation is special to me in so many ways

that it cannot be so easily defined

but know that -

it means the WORLD to me

to have known and bonded with him

incised with hope & true care

counting the days and hours we spend together

cherishing them in memory to live for ever...

Elders say...

I'd often heard my elders say,
"Its a big bad world" - where you have to find your way !!

Young as I was happy n' gay,
To me it all meant a child's play;
Ignoring what the elders had to say,
I treaded to live life my way;
Endeavoring on everything that I could lay,
Blending with music, I swayed away;
With sunshine galore, I made all the hay,
Trusting every soul, I drifted away.

Little did I know that someday,
Knocking at my door, would come doomsday;
And my trusted aides would keep me at bay,
'coz today I needed them, it wasn't the other way.

Realization dawned on me, only when life went astray,
Now, I realized what elders meant in their say;
"Its a big bad world" - where you have to find your way !!

I often wondered...

I often wondered why I felt my life incomplete -
Until I met you.

You stepped into my life like a ray of light,
For my world that was enveloped in darkness.

You took time to explain me the meaning of life,
You taught me ways to overcome strife,
You offered me your shoulder to rest on,
You became somebody I could depend upon.

I can never forget your sense of devotion,
Your relentless endeavors to set me back in motion,
You helped me smile when times where blue,
With you besides me. I knew I could sail through,

And, so today-
I would take this time, to let you know,
That you have influenced me in so may ways,
That it simply cannot be expressed through any says.
For all that you have done, I'm indebted to you,
For all that you endeavored, I'm grateful to you.

Be there for me ever my friend, for it is true,
That my life will never be the same without YOU.

I fall short of words to express my feelings for you,
I wish all the happiness in the world for you,
And, I pray LORD grant HIS deepest blessing to you.

to be with and to care about.
