Rain

the pleasant smell of earth, and 

the blissful calmness around

the indulgence in wanting to cuddle up, and

the peace coursing through the frayed nerves

the wild breeze with its swishing sound, and

the rainbow in its colorful splendor

unparalleled is the happiness, ushered in

by this marvel of Mother Nature!

every cloud burst soothes my pain

rejuvenated, I feel whole again

so, palpable is the feeling of rain

I love the feeling of the rain, and

I would love to feel it

over and over, again and again..!!

We make a difference..!!

Each one of us is here for a purpose

and we need to play our part to the fullest!

What if every drop of water

in the ocean would say,

"I'm just a single drop n' not the ocean"

Would there be an ocean then..??

What if every grain

on the land would say,

"I'm just a single grain n' not the land"

Would there be any land then..??

What if every seed

of a plant would say,

"I'm just a single seed n' not the crop"

Would there be any crop then..??

What if every single note

in music would say

"I'm just a single note n' not the melody"

Would there be any melody then..??

Likewise… it is only when we all do

what we got to do that WE make a difference

to our realm n' complete this WORLD of ours

embalming Mother Nature in all its elements!!

Little joys like ~

listening to soothing music

enjoying the whiff of fresh air

watching the dew-drops on leaves

walking on grass or on sand

towards the subtle sunrise or sunset

feeling one within, in blissful solitude

looking at where the horizons meet

gazing at the beauty of the azure sky

or the colors of the meadows

and the smell of earth

during the first showers

it's this midas touch that symbolizes

harmony n' peace in the midst

of the mystical wonders of nature

that give us our ecstatic pleasure..!!

Why trade these rapturous

enchanting thrilling joys

to the dark shadows of

a demanding n' pretentious

world that sucks you within

in its vortex leaving you depraved..??

Get soaked in these joys n' soar high

spreading your wings to unknown heights

setting yourself as free as you can be

enjoying every moment, the beauty of life

and life's little things..!!

Forever Oneness with Nature

When the concrete jungle, rife with rules of its own,

makes me feel claustrophobic, fraying my nerves within,

where I fight for sustenance amongst the seas of people,

to earn my daily bread for my family n' seek a living;

I take the vagabond escape route to being amidst Nature...

to lose myself in its scenic beauty n' FREE the real ME,

even, if it is momentary, to touch, feel, live n' sensitize,

to infuse within me all that Nature has to offer from its womb;

be it the meadows that paint the vibrant colors from its canvas,

in my otherwise stark life colored only in black n' white;

or the wilderness that sing songs in rhythms of their own,

a melody, so pleasing that sets you grooving to its every beat;

the sunrise that breaks away from twilight to give me hope,

when I feel lost as I surmise the conflicts I face in my life;

the landscapes, seascapes n' mountainous intricate designs,

that leave me spell bound with its native forms n' splendours;

the rivers that flow endlessly remaining new all the while,

teaching me to remain unaffected by the disruptions in life;

the solace in the secluded spot over a rock with subtle winds,

that drives away all my agitation n' plunges me in reverie;

the sunset by the sea that usher-in respite, calming me down,

healing me from within n' resurging me with strength n' wisdom;

to collect myself n' my thoughts to get back the handle of my life,

treasuring every memory to continue my journey when I return back

to the man-made soulless surreal world that bewilders me each time

with the the circle of being enthralled in the charisma of Nature

coming to an undesirable end with the end of the brief sojourn

that brings me a step closer to Nature each time, I seek solace

in its resplendent world emblazoned with inexplicable bliss n' peace

a sacred communion with the eternal power that cannot be expressed

but only be felt from deep within the soul as Nature's powerful mysticism

creating firmly a sense of oneness between ME n' Mother Nature forever…

Shades of ME

She comes across as a woman ~

who has been chiseled by the realities of life,

Love, happiness, joys; betrayal, loss n' strife,

She is nature's abandoned n' destiny's favorite child;

any incident, now, can incite her enough to withdraw, or

fuel to strike back as a phoenix rising from it's own ashes.

But, this is not who the real she is ~

She is an epitome of innocence n' pure love,

a pristine soul, yearning for real freedom,

from all bondages n' being one with Mother Nature,

for that is where she sets herself completely free,

as she knows that this is the place where she truly belongs.

She is aware she is different, she is unique ~

and, she has variant of shades that make her who she is;

Sunset, twilight, calm lakes, rivers, rains n' seas,

evoke within her, her deeply hidden sensitivities n' dreams,

while soft music enlightens her heart n' mind akin,

and, poetry n' prose give vent to her heartfelt feelings.

A child woman, a lone wanderer in thirst of peace,

simplicity n' true unconditional love is all that she seeks;

It's her strong will that enthrals her to strive,

to create a world that she will call her own;

She might give up at times but she will bounce back,

I know for real that she will do this for that SHE is ME.
