Rising Phoenixes

Amidst ash-fill, a phoenix's flight,
with potent strength, a fearless sight.
Her scars etched deep, yet unerased,
defied the adversity she faced.

In unity, they found their grace,
emerging strong, a sisterhood's embrace.
Muted pasts now distant noise,
together they rise, they rejoice.

For behind every strong woman's voice,
a story echoes, no choice but to rise.

Emerging Stronger

I am emerging from a black hole
that's almost consumed me whole
it's been a painful journey for me
I am uncertain of what's in the anvil
let alone know how will I tackle it!

Being a compassionate benevolent
I let the happenings around me
destroy me little by little, over time
and eventually cut me to the core
without letting the other's know
of all the affliction I was going thru'
that broke my heart n' shattered my mind
the ordeal and the emotional mayhem
devastated me further, letting me sink in
deeper till I held on just in time, and
paused long enough to stop my free fall!

I have to end these depths of despair, and
the problems in my life must be absolved
for I don't want to feel this pain ever again
that has power enough to erode my soul
I need to emerge into a new life, now
with renewed fortitude n' vigour
akin to the mighty phoenix, and
stamp out all the negativities in flames
and take flight to my real realm
stronger than ever before, and
I alone can do it for its MY LIFE
and I need to get a handle on it!

Twilight

She was clouded in the ambivalence of the unknowns

She ran from watchful eyes n' got trapped in the shadows

She struggled to find tears when she wanted to cry

She was filled with tropes of emptiness that set her dry

Till love found her when fading hope shattered her will

And -

She rose like a phoenix from her own ash fill

She faced life's trials, scathed yet strong

She led through the darkest nights, awaiting the dawn

She searched for transcendence in all her quests

She mused over her past and her vacant pursuits

The twilight in her life blossomed her spark

As it eclipsed the cusp of light and dark

She set herself free from the captivity of her past

With her new found freedom, she found out what she'd lost 

Embalmed with love, enthralled in mystic bliss

She glowed as she sang her own twilight twist!
