we live in a world

that chains us

with fears, and

traps us in a race

we think we have not

made the choice, and

that it is preordained

a fate we are born with

but this is untrue

to be infringed upon

hassled and wired

yielding to the perils

of endless expectations

doing things which we

really do not understand

achieving a myriad

of unwanted goals

at the expense

of burning our souls

in a twilight revelation

of the glorious light

I decided freedom

beautiful and violent
engulfed in a raging fire
pining, craving and longing
for her elegy to be heard
but there is no one around

the fears gripping her
the demons tormenting her
weave the torn fabric 
heal the scalds, while

she is poised...

to take controls
fortified with faith
armed with hope

captivity was not meant for her

to soar to the zenith
to touch the cerulean sky
to float amidst the clouds

releasing herself from all earthly binds
setting free her insecurities

the clouds float together

forming an isle

the lightening

usher in gusts of wind

first come the cool breeze

then the petrichor

the beautiful rains

are a frenzied delight

where the spirits

are showered, and
