eventually, the edginess
and turmoil took over 

it took the quietness

of several nights
to set things clear
in lucid light
faith restored
reignited her spark
it enlivened her soul

we live in a world

that chains us

with fears, and

that it is preordained

a fate we are born with

achieving a myriad

of unwanted goals

in a twilight revelation
